
The Porirua Community Family Violence Prevention Network (PCFVPN) represents an integrated, multi-faceted, community approach to preventing the occurrence and reoccurrence of violence in families/whanau living in Porirua.
The network comprises a collective group of government and non-government agencies in Porirua.
Porirua Community Family Violence Prevention Network Monthly Meetings
The PCFVPN meets monthly for support and information sharing of family violence issues. These meetings are open to anyone who has an interest in family violence prevention.
Collaborative Initiative Group (CIG) Monthly Meetings
The governance group of the PCFVPN is represented by the Collaborative Initiative Group (CIG) which comprises senior staff and Managers from member agencies who have signed up to the collaborative. The CIG meets monthly to discuss the strategic objectives of the PCFVPN. This group also determines opportunities and projects, which include White Ribbon Day Campaign; educational programmes in schools/colleges; training opportunities for the PCFVPN; and local research of FV statistics.
